Each of the seven courts is a full-size 60 by 30 foot pickleball court, the standard dimensions used for regulation play. Full size means the whole playing area plus room around the lines, so you can chase a lob or stretch for a wide dink without running into a wall or into the game on the next court.
The blue cushioned surface absorbs impact that a bare concrete slab would send straight back into your knees, ankles and hips, which adds up over a two hour session. It also gives consistent grip underfoot, so your footing stays predictable when you split step or push off hard for a ball out wide.
Stadium-grade lighting removes the two things that ruin indoor play: shadows falling across the court and glare when you look up for an overhead. You can track a fast ball at the kitchen line and read spin off the paddle. It also means the courts play the same at 9am as they do at 9pm.
You arrive during a scheduled open play block and get rotated into games rather than holding one court for a fixed hour. Sessions run several times a day. Games are short, players rotate off after each one, and you end up playing with different partners through the session instead of the same four people.
No. Open play sessions run for all skill levels and players are grouped so you face people near your own standard rather than being dropped into a random game. Courts are separated by level instead of mixed. If you are new and not sure where you fit, say so at check in and we will point you to the right court.
DUPR is the Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating, a single number on a 2.0 to 8.0 scale that reflects how you actually perform in recorded matches rather than how you describe yourself. Pad & Paddle is a DUPR verified club. To get a rating, create a free DUPR account and play matches that are submitted to it.
Indoor pickleball uses a lighter ball with larger holes than the outdoor version. It moves slightly slower and is less affected by the surface, so rallies last longer. Any standard paddle works fine. If you do not own gear yet, check with the front desk before your session rather than sorting it out at court time.
Reserve a court when you already have your group and want a guaranteed hour on a specific court. Choose open play when you want games organized for you and do not have three other players lined up. Court reservations are made online through CourtReserve, while open play runs at set times through the day.
For most of the year, yes. Indoors there is no 100 degree afternoon, no wind pushing your dinks off line, no sun in your eyes on the serve and no session lost to rain. Conditions are identical in July and in January, which makes indoor courts far easier to plan a regular game around.
Four for doubles and two for singles, which covers almost all pickleball played anywhere. Doubles is the standard format in open play. With seven full-size courts running at once, that is up to 28 people playing at the same time, which is why open play sessions here keep moving instead of leaving you standing around.
At Pad & Paddle, we’re redefining the way you play pickleball. Whether you’re stepping onto the court for the first time or training like a pro, our facility is designed to deliver excellence — from world-class surfaces to a thriving community.
