The seven courts use a blue cushioned surface laid to full size 60 by 30 foot dimensions, with professional nets and stadium grade lighting overhead. The cushioning takes some of the impact out of a long session, and consistent indoor light means no glare, no wind and no unpredictable bounces.
DUPR is the rating system used across pickleball, and verified club status means play here can count toward your rating rather than sitting outside the system. In practice it makes matchmaking fairer, because you get put with players near your level instead of guessing. Casual players can ignore ratings entirely and just play.
It is enough room for seven full size pickleball courts, indoor cricket lanes, table tennis and a private event area without any of them crowding each other. Courts have proper run off space behind the baselines, the ceiling clears cricket shots, and the building still moves comfortably when it is busy.
Yes. The arena is climate controlled, which is the main reason people keep playing here through July and August. The temperature holds steady from the morning opening through to the evening, so an August afternoon session feels the same as a January one. Indoor lighting stays constant too, whatever the time of day.
A wide mix. Pickleball draws everyone from first timers at open play through to rated players tracking DUPR results, across a broad age range. Cricket brings club players, juniors in the academy and people putting in work against the bowling machines. Sharing one building makes the regular crowd broader than a single sport venue.
Yes. Families play here together, and there is a Family All Access membership for households that visit often. Pickleball and table tennis are both easy for mixed age groups to pick up inside a single session. The private event space is also used for birthdays and family get togethers.
Call (817) 983-6346 before you visit and the team will confirm the details for your situation. They can talk you through the closest entrance, the route in, and where you can sit near the courts. Needs differ from person to person, so it is worth describing yours on the phone rather than guessing.
They sit in separate zones of the same 26,000 square foot arena. The pickleball side has seven cushioned blue courts with professional nets. The cricket side has box cricket lanes on a green surface with bowling machines. Play does not spill between the two, so neither sport interrupts the other.
Summer heat and sudden storms cancel more outdoor sessions in North Texas than anything else. Indoors, the schedule runs every week of the year: 9:00am to 10:00pm Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 11:00pm Friday, 8:00am to 11:00pm Saturday and 8:00am to 8:00pm Sunday. Your routine does not stop in August.
Yes. The facility is staffed through opening hours, with people at the desk for check in, court questions and anything that comes up mid session. Coaching sessions and cricket academy programs are run directly by coaches. For a specific supervision question about a youth or group booking, call (817) 983-6346 first.
At Pad & Paddle, we’re redefining the way you play pickleball. Whether you’re stepping onto the court for the first time or training like a pro, our facility is designed to deliver excellence — from world-class surfaces to a thriving community.
